Scott Enterprises, which owns & operates Peek’n Peak Resort, has completed a month-long effort to support to local families impacted by the COVID-19 outbreak. Beginning on Tuesday, May 5, the Erie-based hospitality company, Scott Enterprises, provided free family-style meals to those in need.

The campaign continued every Tuesday & Thursday in the month of May, with the family-style meal pick-up beginning at 1:00 PM.

The meals were prepared by Chef Manny Morales and the award-winning culinary team of The Ambassador Banquet & Conference Center. The culinary team prepared dishes like chicken stroganoff, homemade meatloaf with mashed potatoes & vegetables, spaghetti with freshly prepared meatballs, and a turkey dinner with mashed potatoes & broccoli. The meals were prepared family-style to feed approximately four people. The meals were served refrigerated and fully cooked, with heating instructions on each container.

In total, Scott Enterprises provide over 16,400 meals in the month of May.

To ensure proper social distancing protocol, the meals were be placed directly in a car’s trunk. Those picking up meals remained in their vehicles at all times and were encouraged to wear a face mask. This donation was designed for families who are truly in need and not meant for those who can afford otherwise.

“We believe in our city and know that by coming together, Erie will get through these difficult times” explained Nick Scott Sr., President of Scott Enterprises. “We are proud to have given away over 16,400 meals throughout the month of May to support those in need.”

“We have always taken great pride in the dining experiences we provided guests at our restaurants in the Erie-area,” said Nick Scott Jr., Vice-President of Scott Enterprises. “This is our way of giving back to our community in this difficult time, by doing what we do best – providing great meals and serving them with a smile.”

“Our incredible team members have pulled together to organize this family meal donation campaign,” said Chris N. Scott, Vice-President of Scott Enterprises. “We have been excited to be firing up our kitchens and serving guests once again.”

Scott Enterprises consulted with the Erie County Department of Health to ensure proper precautions will be taken during the event.

The entire Scott Enterprises team is eager to serve guests in the not-too-distant future as the area’s leading hospitality company, comprised of over 2,000 team members and over 4 million guest experiences annually. The staff at The Ambassador Center looks forward to being able to host weddings, charity events, banquets, and business meetings, while the teams at Splash Lagoon and Peek’n Peak are looking forward to welcoming travelers and adventure-seekers from near and far.
