Snowmaking has begun at Peek’n Peak Resort, and teams are working around the clock to prepare the slopes for another incredible season of Winter Fun at The Peak.

Paul Wagner of Erie News Now recently visited the resort to show a behind-the-scenes look at the work being done by our hardworking Snowmaking Crew and our employees at the Equipment Rental Shop.

Improvements to the snowmaking system are providing a much higher volume of snow production per hour. Through the improvements, 110 of our 350 snowmaking guns can now be operational simultaneously. Snowmaking operations will continue, weather-permitting, until all twenty-seven slopes and trails are ready for skiers and snowboards to enjoy.

At the Equipment Rental Shop, team members are working to sharpen, wax and resurface hundreds of skis and snowboards for use at the Peek’n Peak Snow Sports School.
