Since 1964, Peek ‘n Peak Resort has been recognized in the North East region as an all seasons family destination.  The Resort is comprised of 105 acres, 27 slopes and 4 Terrain Parks with varying difficulties.  Travelers from PA, OH, NY and Canada visit the resort for affordable recreation, such as: Snow Sports (Ski/Board/Terrain Park/Tubing), Golf, Adventure Park, Spa and Events.   We’ve established generations of enthusiasts who love the beautiful location, rustic charm, learn to “ski and ride” programs and legendary snow conditions. Scott Enterprises mission is centered on the guest experience and our employees are good at what they do – there is no better place to work and play!

Terrain Park Rangers will monitor conditions, maintain attractions (including Bag Jump) and ensure superior guest service at Peek ‘n Peak’s FreeStyle Terrain Park.   


  • Welcome guests and act as an ambassador for the Resort by answering questions regarding Terrain Park programs/pricing, describing “points of interest” and supplying maps/directions/general information.
  • Ensure a safe, efficient Terrain Park experience for guests of all ability levels by using constant communication and decision making.   
  • Demonstrate an advanced understanding of guest demographics, terrain, weather, surface conditions and a variety of other constantly changing factors that impact safety of parks
  • Perform constant visual inspections and routine testing of Terrain Park features in accordance with resort policies and procedures.  Report safety concerns or irregularities to management / supervisor immediately and record conditions through log books as required.
  • Maintain Terrain Park features and equipment by repairing worn ‘take offs,’ holes in landings, thing spots on run, burrs on sliding surfaces, loose rails, broken skirting etc.
  • Install or remove park signage, closures, trail markings, fencing and banner tape. 
  • Set up / tear down Terrain Park equipment for special events.
  • Check guest lift passes to ensure authorized to use resort services.
  • Facilitate a culture of safety and promote rules, regulations and accountability.   
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of Resort and industry safety regulations and emergency procedures.
  • Maintain accurate availability, communicate changes and be considerate of: operating hours, guest reservations, special events and holidays.  * See Resort attendance for complete details.
  • All other duties as assigned.

  • Ability to read, comprehend and follow oral / written instructions.
  • Clear, concise and effective communication skills to gain cooperation of team members, guests and groups.
  • Capacity to prioritize and multi-task in a busy environment, often in inclement weather.
  • Work independently in the absence of supervision with a focus on safety.


  • High School or GED equivalent required; vocational school training preferred.
  • Active participation and experience in Snow Sports required; intermediate skill level strongly preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.   • Terrain Park Rangers must be 18 years of age or older to operate heavy equipment for park maintenance.  
  • Optimum physical fitness required to actively participate/train in Terrain Park.
  • Frequent skiing/boarding on terrain in various conditions, carrying of objects up to 50lbs, reaching/maneuvering/positioning oneself to perform assigned tasks.
  • Constant moving about Resort and performing majority of job duties outdoors, often in inclement weather for extended periods of time.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays required and willingness to flex up work hours (based on business need).
