Frequently Asked Questions

Is there a height, weight or age restriction?

Participants must weigh less than 250 pounds.  We suggest that participants are a minimum of 48" tall for the ropes courses and zip lines and that participants have the ability to utilize the safety equipment and navigate the courses independently.  The courses are for ages 5 to adult.  However, for ages 5-9, 10-11 and 12-13 there are restrictions on specific courses available for their use.  The purple, yellow, green and blue courses have requirements of parent/adult supervision or participation depending on the age bracket and the course being used.  For example, ages 7-9 can use the yellow course with supervision but need to be accompanied by an adult on the green courses (1 adult per 2 children).  You must be 10 years of age to use the blue courses with adult participation.  Whenever adult participation is required, the 1:2 adult to child ratio must be met. See supervision requirements chart here.

Can pregnant women participate in the activities at the Peek'n Peak Aerial Adventure Park?

This activity is not recommended for women who are pregnant.  If they choose to participate, it is recommended that they consult their doctor prior to their visit.  If we are unable to properly fit the harness, we cannot allow participation.

Are reservations required?

Reservations are highly recommended for the Adventure Course, Ziplines and Segway Tours.  Groups of 15 or more need to make advance reservations in order to receive group pricing.

Do I have to be really fit to do the course?

Most people that lead an active lifestyle and are in good health should not have any difficulty in completing many of the ropes courses.  You are able to proceed at a pace that is comfortable to you, and you can exit the course at many locations.  Unlike the purple, yellow and green courses, the blue and black courses are very challenging.

What are the ticket prices?

Click here to find pricing information.  Please note, there is no charge for visitors who come to the Park to watch their friends and family participate from the ground.

What is the duration of the ticket?

Tickets are valid for three hours.  You are encouraged to be prepared prior to purchasing your tickets (ie. restrooms, snacks and dressed properly) so you can maximize your time on the course.  Entering a course at the end of the 3rd hour and completing that course is allowed.  You are welcome at any time to leave the Park boundaries and return back to the Park during the time period printed on your ticket.

Is the Adventure Park certified?

Designed by Swiss alpine mountaineers, The Peek'n Peak Aerial Adventure Park is built to the standards of the ACCT (Association for Challenge Course Technology) specifications and meets all safety standards as required by NY dept of public safety.  Peek'n Peak Aerial Adventure Park was designed, build and is currently maintained by Outdoor Venture Group, LLC.  You can contact them for more information at or call (203) 260-4111.

What clothing should I wear?

Wear well fitting clothing that does not allow anything to hang loose or get tangled in cables and rope.  Long hair and jewelry should not be left loose.  You MUST wear closed toe shoes.  Sneakers or hiking shoes are recommended .  Flip-flops and sandals are not appropriate and will not be allowed.

Can the ropes courses operate in the rain?

The Aerial Adventure Park can still be fun while it is raining. However, there will be a park delay for thunderstorms and high winds. Call before you travel to confirm the operating schedule.  If it is sunny near the shore, there could be thunderstorms near the mountains.  It is always good to call ahead or visit the website.

What is your inclement weather policy?

Thunder and lightning will cause park delays and/or closure.  When/if the storm passes, without the threat of other storms approaching, the park will reopen. No refunds or rainchecks will be given during a park delay.  If the park closes due to inclement weather, you will receive a raincheck based on the amount of time left on your ticket.

What equipment is provided?

A harness and gloves are provided with your admission ticket.

Are private or group lessons available?

All participants will be provided adequate training, so lessons are not required. If desired, arrangements can be made to hire a guide. If interested, please call ahead to make sure that one is available.

Are Adventure Park gift certificates available?

Yes.  They can be purchased at the Adventure Park or by calling (716) 355-4141

All participants must sign a waiver form.  If the participant is a minor (under 18 years of age),  a parent or legal guardian, age 18 or older, must sign the waiver.  Get ready for your adventure by reviewing, printing and signing the waiver form before you arrive at the park.
